Subsidies in relation to ITC general advice
Every year, the Flemish government provides a budget of 10’000 Euros per SME (small and medium sized enterprise) for advice. The Flemish government pays for an amount of up to 40% of the cost of the advice. The Flemish government is the government of Flanders.
In case you have a question or a need for general advice, then we define the problem, propose a method of analysis and we determine the cost of the advice.
Some examples of situations in which this support could be availed of:
You wish to export or to focus on foreign markets and you want to obtain advice on the possibilities of structuring this business from a tax perspective
Succession in a family owned business
Restructuring of a section of your business
Acquisition of another company
Merger/Splitting up of another company
A specific transaction, such as the need for a property
Retirement of the manager
Search for funds to finance growth
Search for personnel and a way to structure the employment
Assistance with the transfer of the company
Advice in relation to international tax issues
The subsidies are not available for the service of accounting and all the activities in relation to this.
The procedure to obtain the subsidies has been simplified significantly. The company needs to be registered once and afterwards the subsidy can be asked via the on line application. If for example you receive an invoice for 500 Euros excluding VAT, then the VAT needs to be paid directly to us. The amount of 300 Euros is paid to Sodexo (who manages this program on behalf of the Flemish government). The remaining 200 Euros are paid diretly to us by the government. You will need to give instrruction yourself when this payment needs to occur.
The following flowchart shows the procedure to be followed:
